Tiny Home Show Returns to Ancaster with Options for Sustainable Living
The Tiny Home Show returns to Ancaster’s Fairgrounds from July 12-14, 2024, offering insights into sustainable living through compact spaces.
Featuring approximately 25 tiny homes on wheels and other modular structures like yurts, this annual event explores affordable housing options. Co-producer Bianca Metz, a tiny home resident near Hamilton, will present alongside guest speakers covering topics from budgeting for tiny homes to off-grid living.
New models will be showcased, and attendees can engage with builders and experts to navigate the nuances of tiny-home living, including local bylaws and land leasing. The show categorizes displays to highlight appropriate uses for each model, whether for legal backyard dwellings, mobile tiny homes, or recreational vehicles.
The event includes food trucks, an indoor lounge, and a marketplace where tiny homes are available for private purchase. Metz, reflecting on her own experience, emphasizes the financial and lifestyle benefits of tiny-home living.
After growing attendance in previous years, organizers anticipate a similar turnout for this three-day event. Show hours are Friday, July 12, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., July 13, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and July 14, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets are available online.
